Farron Attends Veterans' Breakfast

South Lakeland MP Tim Farron joined with local veterans to attend a Veterans' Breakfast Club on Saturday.

The Veterans' Breakfast Club, which is based in Kendal, provides former members of the armed forces with an opportunity meet and support each other.

Tim said: "I hugely enjoyed going along to this breakfast and meeting with the veterans. It is great to see an initiative like this, which helps to provide veterans with a place to meet like-minded people and to provide each other with support.

"I know I speak on behalf of the whole community when I express my gratitude for the commitment which veterans have made in dedicating themselves to the armed forces, and it is essential that we provide them with the support they need after leaving the forces. Breakfast clubs like this one are an important part of that, and I would like to thank everyone involved in organising it."
