Farron says new organ donation system announcement is “big win” after proposing a motion to Parliament last month

Commenting on today's announcement from the Prime Minister that England will now adopt an opt-out organ donation system, South Lakes MP Tim Farron said:
"Today's announcement is a big win for the six thousand people who are currently on the organ donor waiting list.
"Nearly 500 people died in England last year waiting for an organ donor, which is why I submitted an Early Day Motion calling for an opt-out organ donation system.
"We've been pushing for this change for years and I now look forward to seeing these plans come to Parliament - it looks like we've finally won our campaign."
