Farron trains hard for charity triathlon

7 Mar 2006

Local MP Tim Farron is in the midst of a tough training regime to make sure he is in good condition for his charity triathlon a week next Saturday. Tim has organised this triathlon in aid of the North West Cancer Research Fund and New Holehird and is looking for sponsors. Tim's triathlon will see him travel approximately 30 miles down his constituency by foot, boat and bike.

Tim commented: "I am in the middle of what can only be described as a tough training programme having been dragged up numerous mountains by friends! However, I am really enjoying myself. Training has given me a wonderful opportunity to really appreciate the Lake District scenery and of course this is all in aid of two very good causes. I hope people will sponsor me in the triathlon and ask that they call my office for a sponsorship form on 01539 723403 or visit my web site where they will find a link to the form (www.timfarron.co.uk)".

The triathlon will take place on Saturday, March 18th starting adjacent to Grisedale Tarn and finishing at Humphrey Head Point.
