MP calls for wage support to be extended to the self-employed

Commenting on the news this afternoon that the Chancellor has extended the furlough scheme by another month, South Lakes MP Tim Farron said:
"This is a very welcome move from the Chancellor
"He must now extend the support for the self-employed, including those he has excluded from any support since this crisis began back in March.
"The self-employed, who make up around 1 in 4 of all workers in the South Lakes, are the entrepreneurs that we need to help rebuild our economy - they must not be forgotten."
