MP celebrates Beatrix Potter stamp with Royal Mail

South Lakes MP Tim Farron met with representatives of the Royal Mail last week, to celebrate their commemorative stamp which was produced last month in honour of the 150th anniversary of Lake District author Beatrix Potter.

The meeting took place during the Liberal Democrat party conference last week, where the Royal Mail had a stand in the exhibition.

Tim said: "It was great to meet representatives of the Royal Mail, and to celebrate the Beatrix Potter commemorative stamp that was produced to celebrate her 150^th anniversary last month. Beatrix Potter is very much a part of the Lake District, and tourists flock from around the world to our area to learn more about her and see for themselves the charm of the area that inspired her."
