MP Congratulates Council On Recycling Roll-Out

Local MP Tim Farron has congratulated the council for the latest expansion of recycling. Kerbside plastic and card recycling is now being rolled out in Windermere and Bowness.
Over 4000 properties in Windermere, Bowness, Troutbeck, Troutbeck Bridge, Hawkshead and Storrs will receive a blue recycling bag during November.
Across South Lakeland, 65% of households already receive plastic and cardboard kerbside recycling.
Tim said: "The Liberal Democrat run council has a fantastic green record - the council is ensuring that more recycling is happening now than ever before in our area. This latest rollout in Windermere and Bowness is an important part of that, and my congratulations go to the council for their hard work setting up this scheme."
