MP invites local people to cancer drop-in session

South Lakes MP Tim Farron will hold a special cancer drop-in session for people with cancer-related issues.

Tim will be listening to residents with concerns about waiting times, travelling distances to hospitals, benefit applications, and other matters.

The drop-in will be held at CancerCare on Blackhall Road in Kendal on Friday 17th November from 5pm to 7pm.

There is no need to book an appointment - residents can simply turn up and speak to Tim.

Tim said: "It's a sad fact that cancer affects us all.

"Since launching our campaign to bring a radiotherapy unit to Westmorland General Hospital, I've been inundated with people telling me their stories of the strains of them or their loved ones having cancer.

"If you have any concerns about cancer services then please come along on Friday to speak to me or one of the CancerCare team."
