MP opens Grasmere book fair

South Lakeland MP Tim Farron officially opened the Grasmere book fair on Saturday.

The inaugural Grasmere book fair was a joint effort between the Antiquarian Booksellers Association and the Wordsworth Trust. The event was held over the weekend at Grasmere Village Hall, and the Wordsworth Trust launched a new edition of Wordsworth's Prelude to coincide with the Bookfair.

Tim said: "I was delighted to officially open the Grasmere Book Fair on Saturday. South Lakeland is a leading rural cultural destination, and events like this help to further expand our range of offerings and build on the area's rich cultural heritage as the home of Wordsworth. My thanks go to all who were involved in organising the event."
