MP praises 'best ever' Westmorland Show

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has said that yesterday's Westmorland county show the best one he has ever been to.

Tim held an all-day advice surgery at the show, but had a chance to visit some of the various stalls and discuss agriculture issues with the National Farmers Union.

Tim said: "We had amazing weather, but what made the show was the variety of stalls, animals and activities. I think the show was, without doubt the best ever. The county show really showcases all that is good about Westmorland and Cumbria.

I'd also like to thank the organisers, volunteers and everyone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver a seamless day. This brilliant event would not happen without them."
