MP to host youth surgery at McDonalds this weekend

This Friday, South Lakes MP Tim Farron will hold a special youth surgery at McDonalds in Kendal to give young people the opportunity to raise issues that concern them. The event, which runs from 4pm to 5pm, is open to all.

Ever since he was first elected in 2005, Tim has run special events for younger constituents - from schools forums to football kickabouts.

Tim said: "All too often politicians ignore the views of younger people, instead just listening to older people who vote more regularly.

"I've always been keen to serve as our MP for all our community - and I'm therefore particularly interested to hear views of my younger constituents this Friday. If you've got something to raise, or you just want to ask a question, feel free to drop in and I'll see what I can do to help!"
