MP votes against controversial Elections Bill

Last night in Parliament, South Lakes MP Tim Farron voted against controversial and expensive plans to make it more difficult for people to vote in future elections.
The Conservative Government's plans would cost £120m on forcing all voters to show ID, despite there only being three cases of voter fraud in the past seven years.
Tim said: "At a time when the country is on its knees, it's shameful that the Conservative Government is going to waste £120m on making it harder for people to vote.
"These plans are undemocratic, unfair and I was proud to join Liberal Democrat colleagues in voting against them last night."
