MP welcomes Hospital Trust’s commitment to Helme Chase maternity unit
South Lakes MP Tim Farron has welcomed Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust's decision to host a second open day at Helme Chase maternity unit in Kendal.
The open day, which will take place on Saturday 5th May, will give mums-to-be the opportunity to see the facilities and services at Helme Chase, including water births, aromatherapy, hypnobirthing, and Baby Feeding Cafés.
Tim said: "I'm delighted that the Trust have decided to host another open day at Helme Chase.
"The first event was really well attended which not only showed that Helme Chase continues to be a fantastic facility for mothers giving birth, but that the Trust have answered our call to encourage people to choose Helme Chase.
"This is a really positive step from the Trust and shows a real commitment towards our fantastic local maternity unit."
