MP welcomes Windermere Ferry U-Turn

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has welcomed today's announcement that the Windermere ferry will once again allow passengers to buy their tickets from a member of staff on board.

Tim said: "I've been working with local residents for many months now to be able to get on board ticket payment reinstated.

"It's great that we've won this battle and I'm very grateful to all those in the community who have helped to put pressure on the officers to win this successful U-turn.

"We should always give credit when people are prepared to listen to local concerns and change their minds".
