South Lakeland one of best places to raise children

Local MP Tim Farron has welcomed the news that South Lakeland has today made a list of the "15 best places to raise a family in the UK".
The list was compiled by the Daily Telegraph, and is based on the Halifax Children's Quality of Life Survey.
Tim said: "I'm delighted but not surprised that South Lakeland has been recognised as one of the best places in the country to raise a family.
"I'd like to thank all the schools, community groups, councillors, and business leaders, that work hard to make South Lakeland the place it is.
"South Lakeland District Council deserves praise for their continued dedication and commitment in ensuring that our area is a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family."
