Last night on the floor of the House of Commons, South Lakes MP Tim Farron warned the Government that failure to extend support for the hospitality and tourism sector through the winter will see thousands of jobs and businesses collapse.
MPs will tonight debate a Liberal Democrat amendment to the Business and Planning Bill calling for more support to help the tourism and hospitality sector "bounce back" in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Commenting on the news that the Government will establish a new Trade and Agriculture Commission, South Lakes MP Tim Farron said: "On the face of it this is a very welcome concession from the Government and is thanks to the brilliant campaign run by the NFU that we've been proud to support.
