Increased waiting times show South Lakes needs another ambulance - Farron

Figures uncovered by South Lakes MP Tim Farron show that waiting times for some ambulance services in the North West have doubled over the last five years. Some of the most urgent calls last year took up to four times as long as the national target. Given the extra challenge of providing this service in such a rural area, Tim is calling for an extra ambulance for South Lakeland.

Health plans highlight urgent need for extra funding

Long-awaited plans for the future of health services in South Cumbria have finally been released today. The plans show the urgent need for extra NHS funding, according to local MP Tim Farron. The plans show a projected deficit of £572 million by 2021, and would cost an estimated £160 million to implement.

Poppy Appeal charity bike ride

MP's bike ride raises funds for poppy appeal

South Lakes MP Tim Farron has taken part in a charity cycle ride to raise money for the Poppy Appeal. Tim will lay a wreath in Kendal on Friday, before taking part in the service at the Cenotaph on Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday.
