Cumbrian MP Tim Farron has called for urgent investment in training and retaining NHS staff to tackle the cancer crisis in the county.
On the floor of the House of Commons this afternoon, Cumbrian MP Tim Farron asked the Secretary of State for Energy, Security and Net Zero, Grant Shapps, to introduce specific funding support for hospices that are struggling with their energy bills.
In a debate on the rates of reoffending in the House of Commons, Tim advocated for improvements to prisoner education and training are made as a matter of necessity to lower the rates of reoffending.
Today, Cumbrian MP Tim Farron is calling on the Government to cancel the proposed hike in capped energy bills, which would see an average family's household bills increase by £500. The Liberal Democrats are also calling for a new tax on the large bonuses of oil and gas bosses.
In Parliament this week, local MP Tim Farron urged ministers to make childcare affordable for people and families in Cumbria.
