Local MP Tim Farron has expressed outrage at DEFRA's refusal to take seriously concerns about cash-flow problems being suffered by farmers whose Single Farm Payments have been delayed, as DEFRA finally admit that they are not going to make the June 30th deadline to make all payments by.
Commenting on the release today of the NHS Annual Report, local MP Tim Farron said: "It is clear from the news today that the NHS funding system needs a complete overhaul. Hospital trusts like our local Morecambe Bay trust have to provide services to a much wider geographical area without any extra funding. The extra cost of providing services across the rural area of Morecambe Bay far exceeds the £6.4million deficit that they have recorded.
